Discovery Green is celebrating the first-ever nationwide Vote Early Day with a special chalk mural from Houston artist Anat Ronen. The mural is located on the Performance Plaza.

From the fight for suffrage to today, chalk art has long been used as a tool for communication in times of social movement and change. Vote Early Day is a coalition of more than 2,500 organizations and businesses that have joined together to spread the word about voting early. This project is completed in partnership with MTV and Vote For Your Life. As part of the Vote For Your Life Campaign, MTV is creating art installations and digital events in more than 20 cities across the country to make sure that the more than 230 million Americans who are eligible to vote early know their options.
