Houston’s first official salsa studio, Strictly Street Salsa is celebrating its 25^th anniversary by partnering with Discovery Green to present a summer of high energy, fun and easy to follow classes. Learn salsa, bachata, merengue and more in the heart of downtown Houston at Discovery Green!

It’s all part of Park After Dark

Thursdays, July 6 – August 31

7 – 10 p.m.

Beat the heat this summer at Discovery Green during Park after Dark. Enjoy lawn games from Rocket Dog, the Gateway Fountains, music, food trucks, vendors, and special park lighting. Free salsa dance classes by Strictly Street Salsa from 7 – 8 p.m. Free gardening classes by La Lydia Garden Boutique from 8 – 9 p.m. every Thursday in July.

Andrea and Bill White Promenade

The Andrea and Bill White Promenade is a wide granite walkway that bisects the park, and serves as the local “market place” of Discovery Green®. It also serves as a space for temporary art exhibitions and other activities. A section of the Promenade is lined with sixteen 10′ x 20′ canopy tents, with additional permanent anchors in the pavement available for rent.
