Tim Ruiz is an accomplished bassist who gained acclaim during his extensive tenure with Latin group, La Mafia. During his decades with the band, he earned 4 Grammy Awards and 8 nominations, solidifying his place among the most talented and respected musicians in the industry.

As a board member of the Houston Jazz Collective, Tim curates events and co-produces the Houston Jazz Festival. Collaborating with an eclectic mix of exceptional musicians and artists, including Kermit Ruffins, DJ Sun, Eric Harland, and Nelly McKay, as well as those who’ve played with icons like Stevie Wonder and Santana, Tim highlights his versatility and innovative spirit in his latest Latin-inspired genre-bending project, ‘Mestizo Soundsystem.’”

All concerts are free and family friendly. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Food and drink will be available for purchase. A pop-up market will be on site at each park with locally crafted items, food and wearables.
