Slip, slide, twirl and crash with Bumper Cars on Ice at Discovery Green. This timeless amusement ride gets an updated twist at Houston’s only outdoor ice-skating rink. No license or experience needed to drive! Tickets are $20 plus tax for a seven minute ride. Children must be taller than 42 inches to ride. Guests who purchase tickets for bumper cars must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
Please review the following, prior to purchasing tickets:
- Guests who purchase tickets for bumper cars must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Failure to arrive on time for a reservation will result in forfeiting the time slot with no refund.
- Only one person per tube.
- Sliders should be at least 42” in height, and less than 300 lbs.
- Parents should make sure their children can understand and follow Orientation Instructions.
- Respect your personal health restrictions, such as being pregnant, in poor health, back, neck, hearing, or other health conditions and concerns.
- Be certain not to ride impaired or under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Observe and follow all posted signs, and all verbal instructions given by ride operators.
- Secure all loose clothing and personal articles, prior to going up the stairs to use the slide.
- Keep hands and feet inside the Tube at all times
- Remain seated in the Tube until it comes to a complete stop.
- If you see any unsafe behavior or condition on a ride, report it to a supervisor or manager immediately

Skating Rink
Ice Rink Events, a Houston-based designer, manufacturer, installer, and operator of ice rinks around the globe, transforms Kinder Lake’s model boat basin into a holiday skating destination each winter season at the park. The expanded rink uses equipment that runs on renewable energy and even the ice rink border is made from recycled plastic materials.
