“Shadow of Sounds,” a multimedia visual and sound project from Houston artist Ha Na Lee, creates a contemplative space in Discovery Green for visitors to enjoy. A live sound bath performance is paired with a video projection of abstract and textual images based on sound frequency, amplitude and tone. The juxtaposition between cityscape noise, nature, and instrumental sound will support healing and deep meditation. Participants are invited to bring their yoga mats and blankets to experience the project. Lee received a grant from Houston Arts Alliance for this project.

Lindsey Waterside Landing
The Lindsey Waterside Landing is a manicured lawn space on the northeast side of the park, bordering on a section of Kinder Lake. The location affords beautiful and tranquil views of the water, in addition to stunning views of Houston’s downtown skyline. The landing is also adjacent to the Monument Au Fantome, a masterpiece of modern art by Jean Dubuffet that was a gift from the Dan Duncan Family.
