In his acclaimed debut as a filmmaker, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson presents a powerful and transporting documentary—part music film, part historical record. The film is focused around the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which celebrated African American music and culture and promoted Black pride and unity. Grammy nominated Uncle Jumbo will kick off the evening with songs and dance-a longs that that focus on joy, connection, kindness and wellbeing.

The screening coincides with the Juneteenth Celebration on Avenida de las Americas.
