Headliner: The Felix DeLeon Quintet

Born and raised in Houston, Felix DeLeon comes from a family of church musicians. He first learned piano then picked up the trumpet in high school. In college he studied with trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and performed with the greats of Latin music. He has participated in numerous concerts and recordings one of which won a Grammy and another which was nominated.

Felix is an artist for Texas-based trumpet company, Austin Winds and is a popular trumpeter, pianist, composer, arranger and clinician. He is a diverse musician of all genres and performs or records with various groups in Houston.
