Grab a book A peaceful spot to catch up on a good read, Discovery Green’s Reading Rooms are popular with parents and kids alike. Check out your favorite titles here or bring your own. The Morgan Reading Room and Powell Foundation Outdoor Reading Rooms offer beautiful and serene settings in which to relax and enjoy a good book. They are located next to The Lake House and HPL Express. We want to make sure everyone at Discovery Green has a safe time, so please remember these Park Rules when you visit the reading rooms and HPL Express: Two bags, maximum, and remember to keep your things tidy, not spread out. Only distribute printed materials that meet HPL Express regulations and Park rules Don’t bring any item that could be used as a weapon, including sports equipment Keep it quiet to respect people around you No smoking, alcohol, food or beverages No shirt, no shoes, no Reading Room Respect the furniture and HPL Express equipment, no abuse Do not take library materials into restrooms Remember to check out HPL Express materials before using them Adults, stay with your children from 3 – 5 p.m. in the Powell Outdoor Reading Room The seating and furniture in the Powell Foundation Reading Room are set aside for reading, use of computers, table games and educational workshops unless otherwise posted.
