ICE
Inclusive Skaters Nights
Tuesdays, Dec. 3 & Jan. 28: 5 – 8 pm
A welcoming environment for skaters with special physical or developmental challenges to enjoy the rink.
Non-motorized wheelchairs are always allowed on the rink, but Inclusive Skaters Night gives those with special needs the opportunity to enjoy Green Mountain Energy Ice with a smaller crowd and their families right by their side. Best of all – special skaters skate for free!
Skate guardians and family members will need to purchase a ticket. Tickets must be purchased in person.
ACTIVITY:
The rink will have fewer skaters than during normal operating hours.
SUPPORT:
Double-bladed skates and/or ice shoes will be available for caretakers on the ice with new skaters or skaters with special needs. Only non-motorized wheelchairs are allowed on the roller rink.
SNACKS:
The Lake House will have plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, tacos and snacks available. For skaters with special dietary needs please feel free to bring your own food from home. Note: outside food not permitted during regular open hours.
SAFETY:
Emergency medical personnel will be on site if needed. You may want to bring your own helmet.
NOISE:
Enjoy kid and autism-friendly music at a volume suitable for sensitive listeners.
PARKING:
Handicap parking available in the parking garage. Metered parking is free for vehicles with valid disability plates or placard. (Time limits apply.) Skater drop off recommended at the corner of McKinney and Crawford.
