Story Time with Authors, Crafts, Costumed Characters, Activities and More
WHAT:
Toddlers and parents have the opportunity to enjoy a morning of interactive story time with special guest readers, activities, crafts and soft play equipment from Toddler Towns during Discovery Green’s Toddler Tuesday every Tuesday from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm beginning April 11th until May 2nd. The Houston Museum of Natural Science will be onsite April 11 with Bugs on Wheels: The Magic of Metamorphosis. The mobile classroom from Collaborative for Children will also be in the park for the April 11 and May 2 dates. Four-weeks of themed story time and activities give parents the perfect opportunity to entertain their little ones and enjoy spring in the beautiful outdoor setting of Discovery Green.

Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko must rescue the butterflies stolen from the City Zoo. Special appearances by costumed characters Catboy and Owlette. Special reading of by Lauren Harris, author of The Gifts We Leave Behind, a book written to help children navigate loss.

Curious George Discovers Recycling
Curious George wants to help clean up the planet, and recycling seems like a good place to start—but where does he begin? Curious George will make an appearance. Special guest reader will be Angelita Robles-Brinkley, Founder and Owner of Toddler Towns.

We’re Different, We’re the Same (Sesame Street)
Sesame Street friends help teach toddlers and the adults in their lives that everyone is the same on the inside, and it’s our differences that make this wonderful world, an interesting—and special—place. Special appearances by costumed characters Bert & Ernie. Special guest reader Author Tiffany Obeng of Sugar Cookie Books.

Puppy Birthday to You! (Paw Patrol)
Can the puppies from Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol throw Chase a surprise birthday party AND save Adventure Bay? Special appearances by costumed characters Chase and Skye. Special guest reader will be Tyrone Void Jr, author of Bradley Visits the Zoo.
