WHAT:
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Solstice by Studio Iregular, Discovery Green’s winter art installation and feel the heat with a spectacular fire show by William Brandon of America’s Got Talent. Complementing the evening will be romantic music from Edward Salles.

Solstice by Studio Iregular is an interactive art installation comprised of a series of mirrored and LED arches that reflect through sound and light the transformation of Earth when the sun is at its closest and furthest from the equator. Valentine’s Day marks the installation’s last day on the Brown Promenade at Discovery Green.

Brandon is an accomplished flute soloist, fire breathing performer and fire dancer. His unique talent and dedication led to an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and as a contestant on America’s Got Talent: Extreme! Salles is a highly-regarded tenor based in Miami, Fla, making his Houston debut. Brandon’s performances are scheduled for the top of each hour and Salles will perform sets in between.

Public art programming, inspired by Solstice, is sponsored by PNC Bank throughout the winter season and includes performances, cultural celebrations as well as family arts and crafts workshops. For more information and a complete list of programs visit www.discoverygreen.com/solstice.
